Table Of Cut-Sheet Acronyms |
We’d be hard pressed to find an industry that uses more two and three letter acronyms than the energy-efficient lighting industry. We’re no more fond of them than you are, but they’re essential in making sure we deliver the exact fixture you want. So, we’ve taken every single acronym from our cut-sheets — 376 in all — and put them in one table.
On our cut-sheets we list the most common lighting-attribute acronyms that apply to that product. But in some cases you might want to specify something outside of the norm. This table will let you do that, giving you the data to prescribe exactly what you need.

Fixture Mounting Accessory Guide |
For the past 17+ years we’ve been helping our customers to install Precision-Paragon [P2] fixtures in just about every environment available. The mounting accessories in this guide have been developed out of those years of experience.
You’re likely to find the mounting equipment you need right here. And — on the off chance you don’t — let us know. Chances are we can either adapt an existing product to your needs or create something completely custom that will fit the bill.

Hi-Bay Mounting Methods & PQC Detail |
Existing dedicated modular wiring systems, hardwired fixtures, and assorted plugs in your re-lighting project present costly challenges.
- Older facilities often have a mixed bag of primary wiring connections making it extremely difficult to correctly identify and order fixtures with matching wiring connections.
- [P2]’s proprietary PQC8 and PQC15 whip solves these issues and standardizes your customer’s facility by wiring directly to existing or new J-Boxes.
- This helps you easily transition out of existing modular wiring systems while adding an inline disconnect to current hardwired systems.

EPA Outdoor Wind Load Calculations |
Calculating wind loads is an essential component of most outdoor installations and retrofits. Our Wind Load Calculation guide will help you get that process started.
Effective Projected Area (EPA)
- The Effective Projected Area (EPA) of a fixture is equal to the area “visible” by the wind at a particular angle.
- All pole mounted fixtures and mounting hardware have EPA values/ratings.
- All poles have maximum weight and EPA capacities.
- To calculate the EPA of any particular fixture configuration simply add the EPA values of the fixture(s) and mounting bracket(s) to be mounted.
- The total EPA & weight mounted on any pole must not exceed the pole’s maximum rating for the wind zone in which it is located.
- Contact [P2] for assistance in identifying EPA ratings for existing poles.

Table Of Wattages & Efficacy |
We've all been there. You're trying to find the perfect ECM, lamp / ballast combo, etc. for your application. After hours of research you're surrounded by 6 or 7 dog-eared lamp and ballast catalogs, about 30 post-it notes with critical information scribbled on them and 15 web browser windows opened up to wattages, ballast factors, lumen maintenance curves and more.
That's when it hits you: wouldn't it be nice if someone put all this info together into one place? We thought the same thing. So we did it, and it's all right here in our Table of Wattages & Efficacy.
Go ahead and keep using catalogs and the web for the latest and greatest, but this table will give your project a solid foundation of data to build on.

In 2006, the city of New York adopted an amended version of the 2005 NEC (National Electric Code) as part of the New York City Electrical Code. From a practical point of view, this means that all lighting installations and retrofits within New York City must follow requirements unique to that city.
Sounds complex, doesn’t it? Don’t worry, at Precision- Paragon [P2], we understand the way these regulations impact our customers, and we’re here to help. We’ve developed products which are in compliance with the NYC Electrical code, and if you ever have questions, our Service Hub is here to help.
